iPhone images taken with the phone's plethora of available photo apps have long passed the standard of phone photos and achieved an art-like status. Instagram uploads crowd my Twitter stream almost every day.

But what about photos from an Android user like myself? I'm not a fan of the photo apps available for Android (including RetroCam that most people are quite fond of) but that hasn't stopped me from taking hundreds of photos on my Nexus and running 1 or 2 curves on it afterwards in Photoshop, here's a few...

It's been a quiet few weeks on the blog while my life has been nothing but. I spent a week back in my hometown of Vancouver where I found myself spending 2 hours in the kitchen making borsch. More accurately, I took photos while my friend Alex did the actual making of the food. The soup was delicious (recipe here) and it was a refreshing splash of culture (pun intended) in my daily life. I learned two things that day:
