Travel Quote of the Day

7:30 am

In 2010, I had gone to my mother's birthplace in China. Years earlier, I had been there to burry my grandmother. She passed away from cancer in 2001. I did not have very clear memories of her when I was growing up as a child but wish I did as she had definitely had a big impact on my mother's life. I snapped this image from the back of the taxi as we left the cemetery, wondering which roads took us home and which took us away from the people we love.

"Our battered suitcases were piled on the sidewalk again; we had longer ways to go. But no matter, the road is life." Jack Kerouac
